December 23, 1991 The Willingham house burns, leading to the death of Willingham's three daughters.
December 27, 1991 Deputy Fire Marshal, Vasquez, and Assistant Fire Chief, Fogg, inspect the fire damage on the house. Cameron Todd Willingham becomes the prime suspect of the, now declared, triple homicide of his daughters.
December 31, 1991 Willingham is brought in for questioning by Vasquez, Fogg, and police officer Jimmie Hensley.
January 8, 1992 Willinghman and his wife are forced to pull of the road by a SWAT team who immediately arrest Willingham. He is charged with multiple murders, earning him the death penalty,
August, 1992 The Willingham trial begins in downtown Corsicana.
Spring of 1999 Elizabeth Gilbert walks into a small chamber to visit her new pen pal on Death Row, Cameron Todd Wlllingham.
Fall of 1992 Gilbert visits the courthouse to examine the details of the case and trial. This begins her own investigation of the case.
1995 James P. Grigson, a forensic psychiatrist who deemed Willingham "a sociopath", was removed from "the American Psychiatric Association for violating ethics"
October 31, 1997 Willingham's writ is controverted by the Court of Criminal Appeals. He submits another one which is accepted but deemed wrong.
2002 Another writ by Willingham is denied before he presents it.
December, 2003 Willingham's appeal to the Supreme Court is rejected
February 17, 2004 6:00p.m. is set as Willingham's time to be killed through the death penalty.
January, 2004 Fire investigator and scientist, Dr. Gerald Hurst, recieves files of all the evidence for the Willingham case.
February 2004 hope is restored in Willingham as Hurst's studies begin to prove some evidence used against Willingham as faulty.
February 13, 2004 Reaves calls Willingham to alert him that he was again declared guilty.
February 17, 2004 6:20 p.m. Willingham's heart stops. Declared dead on account of "homicide".
